Risk profiles of the LQT genotypes
In a study of subjects aged 0-40 years with hereditary long QT syndrome:
- LQT1 or LQT2 have a high risk of serious cardiac events:
- LQT1 have a 63% risk
- LQT2 have a 46% risk
- LQT3 have an 18% risk
- among subjects experiencing a cardiac event the mortality for LQT3 patients was highest
