Incidence
Buerger's disease is relatively uncommon. The exact incidence is uncertain since it depends upon what criteria are used to establish the diagnosis; radiographic criteria imply higher incidences than purely histological ones. Prevalence also shows geographical variance.
Approximate incidences are:
- USA - less than 1%
- Eastern Europe - 5%
- Japan - 15%
- Asia - greater than 15%
