Renal causes of postoperative renal failure
Renal causes include:
- acute tubular necrosis - as caused by prerenal, especially emergency abdominal aortic aneurysm
- exacerbation of underlying renal disease
- nephrotoxicity of anaesthetic adjuncts - eg NSAIDS
- aminoglycosides
- enflurane
