Pathology
Eccrine poroma has the following pathological features:
- tumour cells:
- irregular accumulations within vascular stroma
- tends to extend from epidermis into dermis
- epidermal basaloid structure
- characteristically, filled with glycogen and glycolytic enzymes
- crossed by ducts:
- numerous and tortuous
- lysosome within cell
- often superficial hyperkeratosis
