Surgical procedures for Raynaud's Phenomenon are usually a last resort after unsuccessful drug treatment.

Alternatives include:

  • cervical sympathectomy - produces only a short improvement and has now fallen out of favour
  • lumbar sympathectomy - valuable for intractable Raynaud's phenomenon of the feet
  • digital sympathectomy - relieve severe pain and heals ulcers in patients with critical ischaemia
  • procedures to counter the damage of ischaemia:
    • debridement
    • removal of infected nails
    • amputation
