The contraindications to these drugs include:

  • asthma
  • obstructive airways disease
  • uncontrolled heart failure
  • sick sinus syndrome
  • second or third degree heart block
  • cardiogenic shock

There is an important interaction with calcium channel blockers - it may cause in asystole with verapamil, and heart block, severe hypertension and heart failure with the others.
