Clinical features
- orbital pain - especially in rapidly growing malignant tumours.
- proptosis - may develop rapidly within weeks or a few months in malignant lesions, or gradually in more benign tumours
- lid swelling and distortion
- eye movements - may be limited for mechanical reasons and result in diplopia
- reduced visual acuity - from direct involvement of the optic nerve or retina, or indirectly, from occlusion of vascular structures
