Bat ears
These are abnormally protruding ears. This anomaly can cause much distress in schoolchildren.
A pinnaplasty performed before school age, may pin the ears back permanently, and prevent derision and emotional problems. An important part of the operation of pinnaplasty is the reconstruction of the antihelix.
