Clinical features
The clinical features of attico-antral chronic suppurative otitis media include:
- worsening conductive deafness
- a scanty discharge - often persistent and fetid smelling
- bright red granulations as a result of osteitis which usually bleed on touch
- aural polyps - these are formed from granulation tissue and from inside the meatus
- cholesteatoma
