Results
Digoxin had no effect on mortality:
- 34.8% in the digoxin group
- 35.1% in the placebo group
- p=0.80
In the digoxin group there was a reduced risk of hospitalisation for worsening heart failure:
- 26.8% vs. 34.7%
- p<0.001
In the digoxin group there were non-significant trends towards decreased risk of:
- death from worsening heart failure
- hospitalisation for all reasons
