Cardioneurosis is a vague term used to describe the reluctance of an individual to accept their recovery from the profound life event of a myocardial infarction. It may manifest as appearence in casualty following very minor amounts of chest pain, or as anxiety about doing exercise to the extent that their lifestyle is limited where it need not be.
