Ranitidine
Ranitidine is an H2 antagonist - that is it antagonises the histamine receptors occurring principally in the stomach, thus interrupting the stimulation of gastric acid secretion.
Ranitidine increases gastric pH and aides the recovery of peptic ulcers.
