Diagnosis and treatment
Possible investigations:
- doppler ultrasound, venous phase of renal angiogram; also spiral CT or MRI
Treatment:
- anticoagulation (e.g. treatment with warfarin for 3-6 months)
- in acute cases streptokinase may be used to lyse thromboses
