Early investigations
Early investigations to gauge the function of the cardiovascular system include:
- blood is taken for full blood count and crossmatch.
- three radiographs which may help to identify the sites of internal bleeding: - thorax - abdomen - pelvis
- if indicated, one might also monitor the ECG
