Thyroid disease and digoxin
- hyperthyroidism
- patients with hyperthyroidism may not respond well to treatment with digoxin but can develop toxicity if the dosage is increased
- hypothyroidism:
- patients with hypothyroidism are more sensitive to the effects of digoxin and it can be very difficult to find the correct dosage
