Effective against gram negatives and gram positives - organisms - such as S.aureus, E. coli, H. influenzae, N. gonorrhoea, P. aeruginosa, Campylobacter, Shigella, and Salmonella.

- Ciprofloxacin urinary, respiratory, gastrointestinal infections, gonorrhoea, septicaemia
- Enoxacin urinary, skin infections, gonorrhoea
- nalidixic acid urinary tract infections
