Differential diagnosis
The differential diagnosis of AML includes:
- acute lymphoblastic leukaemia
- other myeloproliferative disease
- chronic myeloid leukaemia
- myelodysplastic syndrome
- left - shifted bone marrow which is recovering from a previous toxic insult
- aplastic anaemia
