Associated genetic disorders
Genetic disorders thought to predispose to acute leukaemia include:
- Down's syndrome - a transient leukaemic picture may develop soon after birth with acute leukaemia developing months or years later
- Fanconi's anaemia
- ataxia-telangiectasia
- Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome
- Bloom's syndrome
- Kleinfelter's syndrome
- Osteogenesis imperfecta
