  • presence of cryoproteins, such as cold agglutinins and cryoglobulins – in children (1)
  • excessive exposure to cold weather
  • anorexia nervosa in adolescents (1)
  • systemic lupus erythematosus in adults (1)

  • people who wear tight clothing during cold climates e.g. – horse riders.
