Caudate nucleus haemorrhage
Caudate nucleus haemorrhage is most frequently due to hypertension. It is characterised by changes in cognition and behaviour, such as apathy and abulia, restless agitation, and memory loss.
Posterolateral spread to the internal capsule is associated with hemiparesis.
