Differential diagnosis
The differential diagnosis of epilepsy includes:
- syncope
- cardiac arrhythmias
- hypoglycaemic attacks
- psychogenic - hysterical attacks
- narcolepsy / cataplexy syndrome
- breath holding attacks
- daydreaming
- night terrors
- Munchausen by proxy
In addition, other causes of seizures should be considered.
