In a general patient history, the following are points that particularly relate to the neurological system:
- changes in sense of smell, vision, taste or hearing
- change in mood
- sleep disturbance
- black-outs or dizziness
- balance problems
- difficulty in talking, chewing or swallowing
- numbness or pins and needles in the face, body, arms or legs
- weakness, heaviness or clumsiness of the limbs
- walking
- normal control over bowels and micturition
- normal sexual function
