Clinical features
The clinical features of social phobia include:
- fear of being the centre of attention
- fear of humiliation in public
- avoidance of feared situations
- anxiety experience in the feared situation or when anticipating the situation
- one of the following should be present during an anxiety-provoking situation:
- blushing
- shaking
- fear
- vomiting
- fear of micturition or defecation
- emotional distress
