Duodenum (protein digestion)
Protein digestion in the duodenum is largely the result of the secretion of pancreatic enzymes:
- trypsin
- chymotrypsin
- elastase
- carboxypeptidase
All are endopeptidases except carboxypeptidase which is an exopeptidase.
