Abdomen and thorax
The prenatal diagnosis of a diaphragmatic hernia will facilitate prompt surgical repair of the defect.
Defects in the urinary tract include:
- hydronephrosis
- polycystic kidneys
- renal agenesis
- posterior urethral valves with distended bladder
Defects in the anterior abdominal wall may result in omphalocele or gastrochisis.
