Astigmatism (irregular)
Irregular astigmatism is a consequence of some underlying pathology in the eye. The power meridia are not at 90ø to each other, and thus the condition cannot be easily corrected.
Irregular astigmatism may be caused by:
- corneal surgery
- collagen fibre defects
