Loss of deviation of eyes to one side
For example, loss of deviation of the eyes to the right - i.e. deviation of the eyes to the left - may be caused by:
- a lesion affecting the pathway linking the LEFT frontal lobe and the left oculomotor nuclei, e.g. neoplasm, vascular
- a lesion on the RIGHT side of the brainstem
- an irritative lesion on the RIGHT side of the frontal lobe that stimulates deviation of the eyes to the left
