Clinical features
Patients are often asymptomatic; symptoms result from complications including:
- infection, with suppuration and/or abscess formation
- rupture into bronchi or the pleural cavity, causing haemorrhage - with haemoptysis - or pneumothorax respectively.
A rare complication is the risk of transformation to rhabdomyosarcoma.
