Potential problems
Problems which may occur include:
- flow problems
- skin reactions
- drug incompatibility or precipitation
- management problems
Staff using syringe drivers must be adequately trained and different rate settings must be clearly indicated and differentiated: incorrect use of syringe drivers is a common cause of drug errors.
