Seek expert advice
The aim of management is to match the fluid intake of the patient with their respective fluid output. This is the function that is normally undertaken by the kidney but, in acute renal failure, is deficient. The patient may be hypovolaemic, hypervolaemic or normovolaemic at presentation.
