Inhaled corticosteroids and hoarseness
- myopathic weakness of the adductor muscles of the vocal cords leading to dysphonia - this effect is reversible on cessation of inhaled steroid treatment
- the use of a spacer does not appear to help with hoarseness associated with inhaled corticosteroid use
