Pulmonary nodules on the chest radiograph
Pulmonary nodules are interstitial opacities on the chest radiograph with a diameter of 5-10 mm.
The possible causes of multiple pulmonary nodules include:
- lung cancer/metastatic cancer
- sarcoidosis
- silicosis
- tuberculosis
- fungal lung infections
- chichenpox pneumonia
- abscesses
- histiocytosis X
- arteriovenous malformations
- mitral stenosis
