Aims
The aims of breast reduction surgery are mannifold:
- relief of physical symptoms such as mastalgia and intertrigo
- reduce breast volume
- produce smaller, symmetrical breasts
- produce breasts which have an overall size that is more in keeping with the patient's frame
- where present, reduction of psychosocial morbidity
