Pulmonary lymph nodes are the tiny nodes formed from the convergence of lymphatic channels from deep lymph plexuses within the lung parenchyma of individual bronchopulmonary segments. They are concentrated at the 'apex' of each bronchopulmonary segment around the point of emergence of segmental bronchi.
The efferent lymphatics from several pulmonary lymph nodes converge on the bronchial lymph nodes.
