Saline excess
Saline excess is seen as cardiac, hepatic or renal oedema.
Clinical features include:
- oedema
- weight gain
Laboratory findings are:
- exchangeable Na increased
- total Na normal
- low serum albumin
There is an inflation of the volume of the ECF.
