Vecuronium is a non-depolarising neuromuscular blocker causing muscular paralysis for 20-30 minutes. It has the fewest side effects of any neuromuscular blocker. This has resulted in it finding a niche where cardiovascular stability is important during general anaesthesia. Care should be taken in patients with kidney disease as elimination may be reduced.
