- myocardial infarction - in one study, 20% of young people with MI had APS
- pulmonary hypertension
- valve degeneration - in one study, 38% of patients had some valvular involvement (particularly mitral involvement)
- atrial thrombosis mimicking an atrial myxoma
- "culture negative bacterial endocarditis" - with splinter haemorrhages and clubbing
