Drug-induced bradycardia
Causes: (1,2)
- drugs that depress sinus node function eg digoxin, beta blocking agents, methyldopa
- some anti-arrhythmic drugs may cause difficulties in patients predisposed to sinus node dysfunction eg disopyramide, amiodarone, verapamil, flecainide
- uncommon causes of bradycardia or sinus arrest include lithium, cimetidine, co-dergocrine mesilate
