Management
Patients with a left ventricular aneurysm should be anticoagulated because of the increased risk of systemic embolisation.
Indications for surgical aneurysmectomy include:
- congestive heart failure
- angina pectoris
- recurrent ventricular tachyarrhythmias
- systemic emboli
Patients undergoing resection of an aneurysm may also require coronary revascularization.
