Microbiological activity
Silver sulphadiazine cream has broad spectrum antimicrobial activity. It is active against:
- Gram positive bacteria eg Staphylococcus aureus
- Gram negative bacteria eg Klebsiella and Proteus
- anaerobic bacteria eg Escherichia coli
- fungi eg Candida
- Pseudomonas
