Sinus rhythm

Sinus rhythm is the normal rhythm of the healthy heart.

It is defined by:

  • QRS largely regular
  • each and every QRS is preceded by a P
  • P must be positive in II but negative in aVR - ie it originates in the SAN, not the AVN
