Radiological appearance of fibrosing alveolitis
On chest radiology ground glass haziness is usually seen at the lung bases.
Additional possible findings include:
- streaky wisps of shadow with elevation of the diaphragms suggesting basal collapse
- miliary mottling
- honeycomb lung develops as the condition progresses and lung function is lost
