Differential diagnosis
The differential diagnosis of Conn's syndrome includes:
- familial hyperaldosteronism type 1
- syndrome of apparent mineralocorticoid excess
Note that renal artery stenosis may also be a cause of hypokalaemia and refractory hypertension.
