Clinical features
Graves' disease is characterised by:
- hyperthyroidism
- diffuse goitre:
- usually only moderately enlarged
- thrill or bruit may be detected on account of increased vascularity
- extrathyroid features:
- Graves' ophthalmology - 40% of cases
- pretibial myxoedema - 5% of cases
- thyroid acropachy - rare
- onycholysis - rare
