Unsafe, attico-antral, bony type of chronic otitis media

In attico-antral chronic suppurative otitis media, there is a tympanic membrane perforation in the pars flaccida, involving the bony annulus. Bones affected in this condition are the tympanic ring, the ossicles, the mastoid air cells, the bony walls of the attic, aditus and antrum.

This condition is usually due to cholesteatoma formation.
