Meningiomas may arise over the convexity of the brain. They tend to present with focal seizures resulting from local irritative pressure on the frontal or parietal lobes. The seizures may be motor or sensory and tend to result in focal signs such as:
Features may be intermittent and may mimic transient ischaemic attacks.
Many years may elapse before more permanent disability and raised intracranial pressure develops.
