Clinical presentation
In addition to the main presenting symptom of cough, patients may complain of; (1,2)
- sensation of something draining into the throat, a need to clear the throat, a tickle in the throat,
- nasal congestion, or a nasal discharge.
- hoarseness
- history of an upper respiratory illness (eg, a cold) or wheeze
