Side effects
Commonly reported adverse reactions to St John's Wort include:
- gastrointestinal symptoms
- sedation/tiredness (1)
- confusion
- dizziness
- dry mouth
- allergic reactions
- photosensitivity reactions - there have been isolated reports of photosensitivity reactions associated with St John's Wort
The majority of the listed adverse reactions were considered to be transient. Also the adverse reactions, in general, were classified as mild to moderate in severity.
