Cardiovascular complications may be treated with:
- prostacyclin and/or N-acetylcysteine - to improve the oxygen extraction ratio
- vasopressor agents such as adrenaline and noradrenaline:
- to increase mean arterial blood pressure
- may decrease the oxygen extraction ratio
