Detailed are the suggested morphine infusion doses in ventilated and spontaneously breathing infants:
NEONATE OLDER INFANT
- VENTILATED
loading infusion 100-200 æg/kg 100-200 æg/kg over 30 minutes
maintenance 5-15 æg/kg/hr 10-40 æg/kg/hr infusion
- SPONTANEOUSLY BREATHING
maintenance 5-7 æg/kg/hr 10-30 æg/kg/hr infusion
